Aim Group France UK ↔ FR ROAD FREIGHT

SERVICE · EXPRESS · UK ↔ FR

When the scheduled service cannot wait.

Express freight is the answer when the consignment has to move now — production-line down, retail launch deadline, missed customs clearance to recover, replacement parts needed on a vessel. Express is a dedicated movement, run outside the scheduled groupage cadence, priced by the urgency and the routing.

WHAT IT IS

Express freight.

  • Dedicated trailer or priority groupage allocation, depending on volume
  • Quoted and dispatched outside the standard scheduled cadence
  • Driver paired specifically to the consignment — single-driver where possible to avoid handover delays
  • Customs documentation expedited — EAD and GMR raised against the express booking file
  • Direct routing — minimum interventions between collection and delivery

BEST FOR

When this mode is the right call.

  • Production-line interruption — components urgently needed
  • Retail launch / promotional drop with a fixed in-store date
  • Missed groupage cut-off where the next scheduled run is too late
  • Replacement freight for a previous consignment lost, damaged or refused at customs
  • Time-critical sectors — automotive parts, broadcast equipment, exhibition freight

NOT IDEAL WHEN

  • Routine freight where the scheduled FTL or LTL service meets the timing — express is priced for urgency
  • Volumes that exceed a single trailer (multi-trailer express needs to be scoped specially)

02

Customs prep parallel to dispatch

Customs work starts while the trailer is being allocated. EAD, GMR and French import declaration drafted from the booking data; no waiting for the trailer to be on its way before paperwork begins.

03

Collection

Trailer despatched to the consignor on the agreed window. Collection executed against the express booking file ref.

04

Channel crossing

Driver carries the GMR, ferry / tunnel booking on the next available departure, no waiting for the scheduled service. Customs hand-shake at the port pre-cleared.

05

Direct French run

No hub stopover. Driver runs direct to the consignee; double-manned where the lane requires it.

06

Delivery and POD

Goods discharged at the consignee against the CMR. POD returned to the consignor immediately on signature.
